TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
